Practical things — how to get here, when to arrive, and where to go for tides and boat times.
Getting there
Mainland to island.
How do we get to Scilly?
You can fly to St Mary's from Land's End, Newquay or Exeter with Isles of Scilly Travel, or take the Scillonian III passenger ferry from Penzance. Alternatively you can fly by helicopter with Penzance Helicopters into either Tresco or St Mary's.
And on to St Martin's?
From St Mary's, take an inter-island boat with the St Mary's Boatmen's Association. Boats run daily in season — timings are set by the tide and posted both online and on the quay each morning.
What happens when I arrive on St Martin's?
We will contact you before you travel over to Scilly and plan to meet you off the boat once you arrive on St Martin's. We will then take your luggage up to The Stables to save you carrying it!
Your stay
At the cottage.
Where can I buy provisions?
St Martin's has a handful of cafés, honesty stalls selling fresh vegetables, a bakery and other places to eat. We recommend pre-ordering any essentials before you arrive via St Martin's Stores, which we can arrange to have delivered to The Stables ready for your stay.
